LEFT BEHIND?
Have thousands or millions of people suddenly disappeared? Are you wondering how people could have known about this before hand? The answer is simple, the Word of God! The most important question you probably have is, what is going to happen now? This time frame you are now in, is what the Bible calls the Great Tribulation. This tribulation period will last for 7 years. There is good news and bad news. Before we continue, let me assure you of the good news! The Good News is that you do not have to fear what is to come if you accept Jesus into your life right now! This does not mean life will be easy in the Great Tribulation, just the opposite, but you will have an eternal place in heaven.
Now for the bad news. The bad news is that this will be the worst time the world has ever faced. What matters most, is that you make the right decision and accept Jesus Christ. So what happens next? A false world leader will emerge, the Bible calls him the Beast, or as we call him, the Antichrist. His objective is to proclaim himself to be God and to have his believers accept his mark on their right hand or forehead. He will be a wolf in sheeps clothing! He will appear to be a peace maker, he will sign a 7 year peace treaty with Israel, he will want to solve the worlds problems, he will appear to do miracles, he is a liar and satan in human flesh! More on him later.
In the seven years of the Great Tribulation, God will pour his wrath out upon the entire planet! This is some heavy duty judgment we are talking about here! How about a chronological breakdown of these judgements? There will be the seven seals of judgement, seven trumpets of judgement, and seven bowls of judgement. Take a look below:

4. Fourth Bowl - Sun Scorches Earth With Extreme Heat
5. Fifth Bowl - Darkness Falls upon the Antichrist's Kingdom
6. Sixth Bowl - The Euphrates River Dries Completely, Army from the East Moves to Attack
7. Seventh Bowl - Massive Earthquake Moves the Whole Planet, All Cities Crumble, Great Hail Strikes Earth

These judgments will occur in the exact chronological sequence in which you see above over the seven year period of the
Great Tribulation period. While many people, both saved and bound for hell will perish in this time, The population of the earth will be greatly reduced just by two of the twenty one judgments listed. For example, when the fourth seal is broken over a quarter of mankind will die. If we use today's census data and roughly estimate the population at 6.6 billion people over 1.65 billion people will die at the when the fourth seal is broken leaving 4.95 billion people. When the sixth trumpet sounds, a third of mankind will be killed. If we were to be conservative and only focus on the numbers from these two judgments and take away the third from the 4.95 billion people, there will be 3.3 billion people alive. That is half of the population of today!
Please note once again, we are not even taking into account the deaths from the other judgments, only two of them. Only God knows how many people will still be alive! The Bible does tell us that unless God had shortened the days, no flesh would be saved! To further note the above judgments, the apostle Paul was describing to the best of his ability of what was revealed to him. While these are all certainly God's judgments and supernaturally occuring, some of the judgments could be a result of wars such as missles falling from the sky, nuclear explosions, biological, and chemical warfare.
While the Antichrist will rise into power and wage war against the believers in Christ, that statement reveals so much. There will be opposition to him! Through all the judgments, death, and disasters there is still hope and it is available in Jesus Christ! During the 7 years of the Great Tribulation God will still convey His Word and continue to reach out to all those that will belive in Him. He will send his two witnesses that will preach the Salvation of Christ and speak against the Antichrist. These two messangers will be here on earth during the first part of the Great Tribulation for 1,260 days. The Bible tells us that they will be dressed in black sackcloth, and that they will have power given by God to destroy those that come against them by fire. At the end of their ministry they will be killed! The Word tells us that the bodies of the two witnesses will be in the streets for 3 1/2 days as the world celebrates their death. After the 3 1/2 days, they will be resurrected from the dead and ascend into Heaven.
The Bible also tells us about the 144,000! This group of people chosen by God will proclaim the message of Christ during the Tribulation as well. This group will consist of 12,000 people from each of the twelve tribes of Israel. This group will also lead many to Salvation. In addition, the Bible also tells us that there will be three angels that will proclaim the message of God and warn of the eternal wrath that seals the doom for those who worship the Antichrist and receive his mark.
Who is the Antichrist? To put it simply, he is the greatest liar and deciever of all time! As previously stated, he will appear to be a peace maker, the world's problem solver, and eventually he will demand worship! Lets take a look at some of what the Holy Word of God tells us about the Beast also known as the Antichrist:
- He will create a world government and become the ruler of this one world system.
- He will sign a seven year peace treaty with Israel.
- He will enter in the rebuilt temple in Jerusalem and will commit blaspheme proclaiming himself God.
- He will cause all people to accept his mark. It will be necessary to have this for buying and selling goods.
- He will also have an image that is to be worshiped. The image will have an ability to speak!
- Those who do not worship this image will be killed!
- He will make war against those who believe in Jesus Christ. Some will be beheaded for their faith in Christ.
8. He will lead all the armies of the earth in the end to Meggido to wage war against God.
So what does all this pan out to, you may ask? While even I cannot paint a picture of exactly how the prophicies will manifest, there is enough Biblical evidence that God the Father and Jesus Christ has given us to clearly see what will occur in this period of time. So please take notice! If you are reading this page, and find yourself left behind, you have a choice. You can accept Christ as your personal Savior and be absolutely certain of your eternal destiny or follow the beast and be eternally seperated from God in the Lake of Fire! I will offer this piece of personal advice, try not to see things in the realm of the physical world, but rather that 100,000 years from now you will still be you.
